Information you give us

When you request an estimate, book a job, call, text or email us, we may collect your name and company name, your email address and phone number, the service address and any access details you share with us, a description or photos of the items you want removed, notes about the job such as scheduling preferences or gate codes, and records of our correspondence with you.

We ask for this information because we need it to give you an accurate price and to show up at the right place at the right time.

Information collected automatically

When you visit our website, our hosting and analytics providers may automatically collect standard technical information such as your IP address, browser type, device type, the pages you viewed and the site you arrived from. This is used to keep the site working and to understand which pages are useful. Our website uses cookies and similar technologies for these purposes. You can set your browser to refuse cookies, though parts of the site may not work as intended.

How we use your information

We use the information above to prepare and send you an estimate; schedule, perform and follow up on your job; invoice you and keep our business records; answer your questions and provide customer service; send service messages such as appointment confirmations and arrival reminders; send marketing emails or texts, but only if you have asked us to; improve our services and our website; and meet legal, tax and insurance obligations.

Text messages and marketing email

If you give us your phone number, we may send you transactional text messages about your job, such as visit reminders and arrival notifications. Message and data rates may apply and message frequency varies. You can stop these at any time by replying STOP, or reply HELP for help.

Marketing emails and marketing texts are separate, and we only send them if you have opted in. You can opt out of marketing texts by replying STOP MKT, and out of marketing emails using the unsubscribe link in any message. Opting out of marketing does not stop the service messages you need in order to receive your job.

We do not share your phone number or SMS consent with third parties for their own marketing.

Who we share information with

We share information only with the service providers we need in order to run the business, and only so they can perform work for us. These include Jobber, our scheduling, estimating, invoicing and customer management system; Wix, our website host; Google, for reCAPTCHA spam protection and website analytics; payment processors, if you pay electronically; and our accountant, insurer or legal advisors where reasonably necessary.

We may also disclose information if we are required to by law, or to protect the safety, rights or property of our customers, our crew or the public.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not rent or trade your contact details to anyone.

How long we keep it

We keep customer and job records for as long as we need them to serve you and to meet our tax, accounting, insurance and legal obligations. Inquiries that never became jobs are kept for a shorter period. When we no longer need information, we delete it or make it anonymous.

Your choices

You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct information that is wrong, ask us to delete information where we are not required to keep it, and opt out of marketing emails and texts at any time.

To make a request, email Info@junkrushpdx.com or call 971-484-8909. We may need to verify your identity before we act on a request. We will not treat you differently for exercising any of these choices.

Security

We use reasonable measures to protect the information we hold, including working with established providers such as Jobber and Wix. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children

Our services are for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Links to other sites

Our website links to our booking form hosted by Jobber. Once you are on that form you are also covered by Jobber's own privacy policy. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of other sites we may link to.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will post the updated version here and change the effective date at the top. Material changes will be made clear.
